A perfect day

We left this morning early...8:30 am to go to Honolua Bay to go snorkeling. It was really fun! The kids did such a great job. We saw incredible fish (and incredible amounts of fish!) Including a school of thousands of silver fish all together like the ones on Finding Nemo. (the ones that point to the EAC)
After Honolua Bay we set out exploring some of the West Maui beaches and found a gem!
Nipili Bay (Danielle's recommendation) was fun for all of us and very relaxing for Alex and I. The one drawback is the number of people that were there. We aren't used to being "sandwhiched" in betweeen people on the beach (We are spoiled in South Maui!) We were only planning on spending a couple hours there and ended up spending 4, which put us in rush hour traffic. (trying to make it to Paia to have dinner with Jay, Danielle, and Faith) One of the things I've learned about coming to Maui is sometimes you plan something and everything works out fine, sometimes you plan something and you have to be open to changing them (due to whatever...weather, traffic, business or the need to spend 2 more hours at the beach than you were planning to!) So we decided to leve the rush hour traffic rat race and turn off to Lahaina (we were planning on coming back on Friday anyway).
We had an amazing dinner at a restaurant called "Mala", watching the sunset and touring the art galleries. It was wonderful!!!
